Austin Mitchell is a Partner and Wealth Management Advisor at Maverick Thomas Capital, where he helps individuals, families, and professionals develop thoughtful strategies for building, managing, and preserving wealth. He has a particular focus on serving professionals throughout the medical and healthcare industries.

Prior to his career in wealth management, Austin spent five years in the medical device industry with DePuy Synthes. His experience working alongside healthcare professionals provides him with a firsthand understanding of the unique career paths, compensation structures, and financial opportunities that often accompany careers within the medical industry.

Today, Austin combines that industry perspective with a background in comprehensive financial planning to help clients navigate investment management, retirement planning, tax-efficient wealth accumulation, risk management, equity and employer benefits, and other important financial decisions.

Austin believes effective wealth management begins with understanding each client beyond the numbers—their career, family, priorities, and vision for the future. His approach centers on developing personalized, coordinated financial strategies that simplify complex decisions and evolve as his clients’ lives and careers change.

Austin earned his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Western Illinois University and has successfully passed the FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 examinations.

Outside of his professional life, Austin enjoys spending time and traveling with his wife, Klaudia, and their two children, Mila and Liam. He has a passion for health and wellness and is an avid golfer.
